Terms of service
For StationX Membership and StationX Infrastructure Labs on StationX Courses & Labs (labs.stationx.net). Last updated 2 November 2026.
1. Who we are
labs.stationx.net is run by Station X Limited. StationX is a trading name of Station X Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 03773082). Registered office: Emstrey House North, Shrewsbury Business Park, SY2 6LG, Shrewsbury, United Kingdom. In these terms "we" and "us" means Station X Limited, and "you" means the person who buys or uses StationX Membership or StationX Infrastructure Labs.
You can reach us by email at contact@stationx.net, or by post at Station X Limited, Emstrey House North, Shrewsbury Business Park, SY2 6LG, Shrewsbury, United Kingdom.
2. Your account
You sign in with your StationX account — the same account as our course platform, courses.stationx.net. An account is for one person. Keep your login to yourself: sharing your account or login with someone else is not allowed, and we may close accounts that are shared.
3. What a subscription includes
StationX Membership gives you the courses and practice tests on courses.stationx.net, the roadmaps on this site, and the hands-on labs included in Membership. StationX Infrastructure Labs is a separate add-on of vendor-certification labs. Courses are delivered on courses.stationx.net; labs run in the lab vendors' own environments and open from this site. Current prices and what each product contains are on the pricing page when you buy.
4. Billing and renewal
Payments are taken by card through Stripe, our payment processor; we never see or store your card number. A subscription renews automatically — monthly or annually, whichever you chose — until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Plan & billing → Cancel membership; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep access until then. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it; if it cannot be collected the subscription ends and access stops.
Price Lock Pass. The Price Lock Pass is Membership and Infrastructure Labs together on one subscription, sold only during set offer windows, each with a fixed number of passes. This window has 500 passes. It costs $399 for the first year and renews at $299 a year from year 2 for as long as you stay subscribed. If your pass ends, the $299 price ends with it, and joining again means paying the prices on sale at that time. Our refund rule applies to it as to every plan.
5. Lab attempts
Labs included in Membership carry no attempt limit. Infrastructure Labs allow 3 attempts per lab: the count is per lab, however many roadmaps or catalogue pages the lab appears on. An attempt counts when you launch the lab. If a lab fails to start, email contact@stationx.net with the lab name and when you launched it: if the fault was at the lab provider's end, we can give the attempt back.
6. Acceptable use of the labs
The labs are isolated environments built for practice. You agree to use them only for that:
- Do not attack, scan or probe anything outside the lab environment you have been given.
- Do not copy, scrape, record or redistribute lab content, course content or practice questions.
- Do not share your account, your lab sessions or your launch links with anyone else.
- Do not attempt to bypass attempt limits, access controls or the lab vendor's own rules.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and the lab vendors may do the same on their platforms.
7. The lab providers' rules
The labs are supplied to us by our lab supplier and run by our lab platform provider. Their end-user rules apply to you as well as ours, and you agree to keep them:
- Use the labs for your own learning only — not to provide training, hosting or any other service to anyone else.
- Do not copy, modify, adapt or translate lab content, or make derivative works from it.
- Do not remove or obscure any copyright, trade mark or other proprietary notices or branding in the labs.
- Keep the export and sanctions rules in section 8.
Product and certification names are the trade marks of their owners.
8. Export control and sanctions
The labs and the software behind them are covered by UK, US and other export control and sanctions laws. You may not buy, access or use the service:
- from, or as a resident of, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Venezuela, the Crimea region of Ukraine or the so-called Donetsk or Luhansk People's Republics, or any other country or region under comprehensive UK or US sanctions;
- if you are named on a UK, US, EU or UN sanctions list (such as the UK Sanctions List or the US Specially Designated Nationals List), or are owned or controlled by someone who is;
- for any military end use, or on behalf of a military end user, in China or Russia;
- for anything connected with nuclear, chemical or biological weapons, missiles or unmanned aerial vehicles.
By buying or using the service you confirm that none of these applies to you, and you promise to tell us if that changes. We may refuse an order, or suspend or end access, where we reasonably believe that supplying you would break these laws; where the law allows, we refund what you paid for access you have not had.
9. Availability of courses and labs
The lab catalogue mirrors what our lab vendors currently provide. Labs may be withdrawn or replaced when a vendor retires or updates them, and courses are added and retired as certification exams change. We keep the catalogue current and we do not promise that any particular lab or course will remain available for the length of your subscription.
10. Refunds and cancellation
Changed your mind? Tell us within 30 days of your first payment and, if you haven't started a lab yet, we refund it in full. Once you've started using the labs, we can't refund what you've used. You can still cancel at any time, so it doesn't renew. The details are in the refund policy.
Your legal right to cancel. If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, the law gives you the right to cancel within 14 days of buying. Your access starts as soon as you pay, because at checkout you ask us to start straight away; the terms box at checkout records that request and that you understand what it means:
- the courses and practice tests are digital content: once you start using them, you lose the right to cancel them;
- the labs are a service: once you start a lab, you are not entitled to a refund for the labs.
To cancel under this right, tell us within 14 days of buying — an email to contact@stationx.net saying you want to cancel is enough, or use the form below. We refund what is due within 14 days of hearing from you, to the card you paid with. Our refund rule applies on top of this right, never instead of it.
Model cancellation form (complete and return this form only if you wish to cancel the contract)
To Station X Limited, Emstrey House North, Shrewsbury Business Park, SY2 6LG, Shrewsbury, United Kingdom, contact@stationx.net: I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the supply of the following service: [StationX Membership / StationX Infrastructure Labs / Price Lock Pass]. Ordered on [date]. Name of consumer: [name]. Address of consumer: [address]. Signature of consumer (only if this form is notified on paper). Date: [date].
11. Certificates
A StationX completion certificate is issued by our course platform when you finish a course. It records that you completed our course; it is not a certification from CompTIA, ISC2, Microsoft, AWS or any other exam vendor. Exam fees are not included in any plan. You book every exam with the organisation that awards it; for some CompTIA exams you can buy the official voucher from StationX first. See certificates.
12. Your data
To run the service we hold your name, email address, course and lab progress (which lectures you finish and when), lab launches, lab scores, lab time and results, when you sign in, and a payment reference, and we share what is needed with our course platform (Teachable), our payment processor (Stripe) and the lab vendors who run your labs. Your points and daily streak are worked out from the lessons, courses and labs you finish (with a bonus for high lab scores), plus the timezone your browser reports. Points have no cash value, cannot be bought or transferred, and can be spent only on streak freezes and repairs. They stay on your account if your membership ends, and are deleted if you delete your account. If we change or stop the points scheme, nothing you paid for changes. We also keep an activity log on our own server (sign-ins, the main pages you open, checkouts, lab launches and results, lectures finished, your goal, and the emails we send and links in them you open) to support you and to understand why members stay or leave; it uses no tracking script or extra cookie, only StationX staff can see it, every staff view of it is logged, and it is deleted after 24 months. Your achievements on My progress are worked out from those same records and are private: only you and StationX support see them, and they are never shown to other learners. How we handle personal data — who we share it with, how long we keep it and your rights, including getting a copy and deleting your account — is in our privacy notice.
13. Changes to the service and to these terms
We may change these terms or the service. If a change matters to you, we will email the address on your account before it takes effect, and you may cancel if you do not agree to it.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in them removes rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms, your account or a payment: contact@stationx.net. We reply within 2 working days.
