What you'll do
In this lab, we will look at how to exploit a binary when NX is turned on.
- NX is a protection mechanism that prevents execution on the stack.
- This would defeat any exploits that require placing the shellcode on the stack and jumping control to it.
- The main way of dealing with a non executable stack is to use the program's own code against itself.
