What you'll do

SELinux is a system that allows you to define how various entities in the system are allowed to interact.

  • At a very basic level, it checks each interaction in the system and determines if it is allowed.
  • SELinux is installed by default on Red Hat and Red Hat based systems.
  • We will be using Fedora as our main example in this lab.
  • You can install SELinux on other distributions, which is done on the Debian system in this lab that will be used for certain examples.
