What you'll do

In this lab, you will create an image of an Azure virtual machine that hosts Microsoft SQL Server.

  1. Create a virtual machine that has boot diagnostics enabled from an ARM template
  2. Add a data disk to the virtual machine
  3. Enable guest-level monitoring
  4. Create an alert rule
  5. Capture an image of a generalized version of the virtual machine in Azure
