What you'll do

Prerequisite Required for This lab. Before starting, complete the Set Up Git and Connect to GitHub lab.

  1. The prerequisite lab only needs to be completed once for all labs in this series
  2. In this lab, you will create a GitHub repository and use GitHub Copilot in Visual Studio Code (VS Code) to generate an initial CI workflow for a Python project
  3. Enhance the workflow by adding a linting job and establishing job dependencies
  4. Optimize the CI process by implementing dependency caching and a build matrix to test against multiple Python versions

Note: Once you begin the lab, you will not be able to pause, save, or return to your lab. Please ensure that you have set aside enough time to complete the lab before you start.
