What you'll do

In this lab, you will deploy and manage storage solutions in Google Cloud.

  1. Create a Cloud Storage bucket configured with the correct location, class, and naming convention
  2. Set up fine-grained IAM permissions to control access to the bucket
  3. Upload sample objects to the bucket and organize them using object naming strategies
  4. Enable versioning to track changes to stored files
  5. Configure lifecycle management policies to automatically manage object aging
  6. Move the bucket's contents to a different region using a transfer job
  7. Configure logging and monitoring to track access and performance
  8. Set custom metadata on selected objects and verify it by using the Cloud Console and gsutil
  9. Clean up by deleting unnecessary files and reviewing best practices for storage cost optimization

Note: Once you begin the lab, you will not be able to pause, save, or return to your lab. Please ensure that you have set aside enough time to complete the lab before you start.
