What you'll do

In this lab, you will perform automated maintenance on a large number of servers.

  • You plan to run several long-running Windows PowerShell commands in the background on a scheduled basis.
  • You will use Windows PowerShell to create a scheduled job that that stores the output of the job in a text file, and then you will create a scheduled job that saves the content of the job.
  • You will run commands to manage the jobs, and finally, you will view a report that contains the result of a job.

Note: Once you begin the lab, you will not be able to pause, save, or return to your lab. Please ensure that you have set aside enough time to complete the lab before you start.

  • ⏱ About 45 minutes
