What you'll do

In this lab, you will add a webhook to log notifications of pull request merges to a release branch in an Azure DevOps repository by using Azure Automation.

  1. Create a new Azure DevOps Git repository and clone it to your development machine
  2. Create an Azure Automation account and runbook containing a script that processes an Azure DevOps Server webhook call
  3. Set up a webhook from your Azure DevOps repo to run the Azure Automation script whenever a pull request has been merged
  4. Create a Pull Request to merge your changes into a release branch
  5. Confirm that Azure Automation contains a message logging the Pull Request

Note: Once you begin the lab, you will not be able to pause, save, or return to your lab. Please ensure that you have set aside enough time to complete the lab before you start.
