What you'll do

In this lab, you will enforce a Pull Request-based workflow by using a feature branching strategy in Azure DevOps.

  1. Create a new Azure DevOps Git repository and clone it to your development machine
  2. Copy the files for your project to the lab desktop and check them in to main
  3. Use Azure Pipelines to create a build for your project
  4. Set up feature and release branches
  5. Set up branching policies and restrictions to enforce the use of Pull Requests and healthy builds on all release branches
  6. Commit code to a feature branch and make a commit to main
  7. Verify that the branching policies and restrictions are firmly in place and use your secondary user to approve the Pull Request

Note: Once you begin the lab, you will not be able to pause, save, or return to your lab. Please ensure that you have set aside enough time to complete the lab before you start.
