What you'll do

In this lab, you will manage branches in an Azure DevOps Git repository to push a new feature into production.

  1. Create a new feature branch off of main
  2. Commit changes to your code on the feature branch
  3. Make a change on the main branch and progress the main branch ahead of your feature branch
  4. Rebase main back into your feature branch to maintain a linear history
  5. Add another commit to the feature branch
  6. Merge your changes from your feature branch into main
  7. Create a release branch for the next feature release
  8. Create a pull request in Azure DevOps for your feature release

Note: Once you begin the lab, you will not be able to pause, save, or return to your lab. Please ensure that you have set aside enough time to complete the lab before you start.
