What you'll do

In this lab, you will learn how to use Azure Boards and integrate work items with Git.

  1. Create a new branch in your Azure DevOps Git repository
  2. Make a code change and push a commit to Git
  3. Add a new Azure Boards work item to track your work
  4. Add the previous commit manually to the work item
  5. Create a connection to a GitHub account and add a GitHub repository to your project
  6. Confirm that you can link to the Azure DevOps work item from a comment in a GitHub repo check-in
  7. Create a new change and use a check-in comment to associate it automatically with the Azure DevOps work item
  8. Adjust the work item's priority

Note: Once you begin the lab, you will not be able to pause, save, or return to your lab. Please ensure that you have set aside enough time to complete the lab before you start.
