What you'll do

In this lab, you will protect a workbook by restricting editing.

  1. Create an advanced fill series based on a list
  2. Use the advanced fill series you created to populate data
  3. Use flash fill to copy a formula to rows
  4. Create a custom number format to display all numbers in the column by using a specified format
  5. Apply the custom format to values
  6. Configure data validation
  7. Use circles to identify all invalid data in the worksheet
  8. Configure the worksheet to allow editing for all cells in specific columns
  9. Turn on protection for the worksheet
  10. Allow users to perform only permitted actions
